How We Work When STS meets with a new client, we first perform an on-site evaluation. Then we: • Provide on-site verbal recommendations (followed up in writing) that describe what services will be required to repair any existing problems. • Evaluate and submit determinations regarding which product or products would be appropriate for addressing the issues at hand. Tthis is determined by onsite surveying, obtaining soil samples, performing onsite soil compaction testing and pH, etc. • Trouble-shoot drainage concerns and turf irrigation necessities. We then propose the most cost effective solution for materials and services. This could include: • Using any existing materials, rather than stripping and bringing in all new materials (which is extremely expensive and very rarely needed). • Recommendations to recondition existing turf in a multi-step process, rather than stripping and starting over (also extremely expensive and not always needed). STS NEVER hires subcontractors. STS owners and executives personally handle every on-site evaluation and provide every estimate. We are also present at each job site to personally ensure the completion of every project. This is because we believe that only way to complete a project correctly is to understand it from the beginning and see it through to the end. We don't sit behind desks telling laborers what to do. STS is a service company, not a producer of products. We will not sell anything that is not necessary for the renovation or construction of our clients' athletic fields. STS has spent many years thoroughly evaluating the products and materials available, and understands the problems that most materials can cause. Therefore, we only recommend and use high-quality materials (not locally produced) from reputable producers. STS does not push un-necessary and costly products. Our goal is to assist you in renovating/constructing athletic fields in a cost effective manner and, therefore, become an asset in the future maintenance of these same athletic fields. We value our realtionship with your company. More than 90 percent of our business comes from client referrals. This is because we provide expert services and maintain excellent reputations with our clients. Once we provide renovation or construction services, we train your staff in proper maintenance techniques (such as mowing, grooming, etc.) and propose infield and turf maintenance programs which can be either done in-house or contracted for us to complete and follow through.
